Amicable collection
Novio Legal has years of experience in debt collection. Both B2B and B2C. Novio Legal uses a humane and individual way of collection. Your debtor is first summoned to pay, and on the basis of the debtor’s subsequent reaction, we discuss with both you and the debtor how your claim can best be collected. Often debtors pay quickly; however, it also happens that payment arrangements have to be made, because your debtor is currently unable to pay the amount due. So be it. It is often better to make an arrangement than to start an expensive and slow procedure in court.

Judicial collection
Despite the specific treatment of your case “in the amicable process,” it can still happen that debtors do not pay.
This can have a number of reasons:
- The debtor really has no money
- The debtor thinks that no summons will be issued
- The debtor thinks he has a reason not to pay.
Here we distinguish between natural persons (people) and non-natural persons (companies). Natural persons can almost always be found (especially in cooperation with our recovery information bureau) and in 99% of cases have some form of income. This can be seized. We assess the situation and discuss with you the steps to follow. Non-natural persons can really have no assets, the so-called shell companies. We advise in such cases, i.e. after we have convinced ourselves and you that a company really has no assets, to close the file and no longer incur expenses. If a company does have assets, we can seize these and in this way establish that with a judgment in hand we can actually collect something.

We know from experience that a large proportion of these debtors pay the claim after receiving the summons. If proceedings do take place, we will gladly assist you. Through our partnership with a reputable law firm and our external bailiff, we can take care of this for you before both the Subdistrict Court and the Court itself.
In consultation with you and on the basis of the data in the file, we try to find out whether the debtor has a good argument for not paying. We then advise you on the feasibility of your claim. We assist you from summons to judgment.
